Task Force is a voluntary, nonprofit association of Knox County, the Task Force for Older Adults seeks to strengthen the human service organizations in Knox County in order to improve the quality of life for all Knox County older adults.
Membership in the association is open to individuals, organizations, and businesses that are interested and involved in the human services sector of Knox County. By uniting representatives who are interested and involved in the human services sector, the TFOA hopes to maintain and improve services made available to local senior citizens.
Each year, the TFOA sponsors senior health fairs, regularly scheduled educational seminars for task force members and community services projects.
The Goal of TFOA is to identify the needs of community based older adults in Knox County and assist in meeting those needs within the community though collaborative efforts of public and private agencies and/or individuals.
